Terms of service

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using this Site, the customer acknowledges that he/she has read, understands, and agrees, without limitation or restriction, to D&D’s Terms and Conditions of Sale when purchasing from D&D and understands that D&D sells pre-owned items.

Terms and Conditions of Sale

  • Items will not be shipped or delivered before the full balance of the entire order has been settled in full and reflected in D&D’s bank account and/or paid in cash.
  • Prices are charged in South African Rands (ZAR).
  • All prices advertised are fixed and non-negotiable.
  • If you import our items from outside South Africa, you are solely responsible for freight and customs duties.
  • Items can be returned within 7 days of purchase for a credit or exchange (your choice), provided the item has been unused and is in the same condition as when sold.
  • The absolute risk in and to the goods passes to the customer upon collection or delivery.
  • Fully paid orders must be collected within 2 to 3 business days, failing which the right of return cannot be guaranteed.
  • Orders that are not fully paid within 7 days after reservation will be cancelled.

Warranty

Due to the nature of its business, D&D provides no warranties unless the goods purchased have an existing warranty from the original manufacturer.

Manufacturer Warranty

In some circumstances, D&D is able to pass along a dealer-stamped warranty card, in which case the goods purchased will be covered by the manufacturer’s stated warranty. When a manufacturer’s warranty is included, warranty service shall be handled directly between the customer and the manufacturer.

Payment

When making payment via electronic funds transfer (EFT), the correct reference must be reflected on the transfer. Failure to include the correct payment reference may result in delayed or incorrect payment allocation, and D&D cannot be held responsible for any resulting cancellation of quotes or orders.

Failure to pay the agreed deposit may result in cancellation of the order.

Fully paid orders that are not being delivered must be collected within 7 days, failing which the right of return cannot be guaranteed.

  • EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and bank transfers (proof of payment required)

Delivery and Contact

In accordance with the Second-Hand Goods Act, Act 6 of 2009, the customer is required by law to provide D&D with their full name and contact details. Failure to provide these details may result in order cancellation.

All prices exclude shipping costs, both domestically within South Africa and internationally. The customer indemnifies D&D (Pty) Ltd against any third-party courier delays.

All delivery times quoted are approximate and subject to change. If delivery is delayed for any reason, D&D does not accept liability for any consequential loss, but will arrange a new delivery date as soon as possible.

All deliveries must be signed for and inspected upon receipt. Any claims for missing packages or damaged items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery by telephone, followed by written confirmation. Visible damage to packaging must be noted on the delivery note or waybill, and photographs of any damaged items must be taken upon delivery.

Risk shall pass to the customer upon delivery or collection of the goods.
